How we work

Hospital Partners

We work closely with Community Medical Centers (the 2nd busiest hospital in the state), providing medical direction and acute services for their inpatient psychiatric hospital, Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), the only acute inpatient psychiatric facility in the region. CBHC is undergoing expansion — 12 new beds within the current four units this year and another 32 more in a new, state-of-the-art pavilion to come.

Affiliations

We are affiliated with University of California San Francisco (UCSF), one of the top medical schools in the country, and offer faculty appointments to qualified candidates through our local program. We are also partnered with Santé Community Physicians IPA, the largest network of it’s kind in California.

Outpatient Practice

Our group is comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and therapists who serve a diverse, growing population on an outpatient appointment basis. Consultation and ongoing treatment is provided for a wide range of mental health issues. Our patient-centered care management system is focused on clinical care and quality improvement.

Wellness Education

The goal of patient education is to increase awareness of life stressors that can affect mental health and to teach techniques to assist patients in becoming proactive in their own care. Utilizing mindfulness, relaxation, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and interpersonal communication, providers aim to improve patients’ overall quality of life.

Reasons to Love Fresno

Yes, Fresno

As the geographic midpoint between Los Angeles and San Francisco, The Central Valley has reaped the benefits of the state’s growing prosperity and Fresno has blossomed into an important metropolis in its own right, becoming the largest inland city of the entire state. Fresno has the unique advantage of being one of the most affordable places to live in California. It’s California living without the California price tag! (See the recent New York Times’s article Reasons to Love Fresno and peruse Fresno's lovely neighborhoods on Zillow.)

Situated just 2 hours from the Sierra Nevada mountains (Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks) and under 3 hours to the Pacific Coast, Fresno offers access to the best of what California has to offer. It also boasts beautiful parks, country clubs, an abundance of locally grown organic produce, top ranked schools, high-end shopping destinations, and superb sport complexes and entertainment venues. It’s the best of small town living with big city appeal.
